The Pheasant Tail Nymph is a standard go-to nymph on most any river in the country. Guides all over swear by soft hackle patterns because they work. Add some soft hackle for movement and a tungsten bead to get it down quickly and this little nymph becomes a monster. This pattern is a wonderful dropper when the hatch is on.
